Camp Petosega is a treasured family campground on the shores of Pickerel Lake in Emmet County, Michigan. With 90 campsites and seven rental cabins, families and individuals can find their perfect spot at this wooded, peaceful campground situated on 300 forested acres. Petosega is a favorite day-use park that is always free! Miles of wooded trails and the peaceful Berry Creek meander through this rural Emmet County park property. A sandy beach makes for a perfect daytime get-away.

Our regular season of operation runs May 1 through Labor Day. After Labor Day, reservations are no longer taken with the campground then operating on a first-come, first-served basis (except for weekends when the campground is celebrating Halloween). When you arrive to the campground in the off-season, please fill out the self-registration form, place cash or check in the front door and campground staff will deliver permits to the site. NOTICE OF DETOUR THIS SPRING NEAR CAMP PETOSEGA
Beginning in early spring 2021, visitors to Camp Petosega will have to travel to the campground ONLY from Pickerel Lake Road while road construction occurs on Banwell Road bridge just north of Camp Petosega Road. The construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2021, though that time frame is dependent upon weather. Emmet County residents visiting Camp Petosega will need to use Pickerel Lake Road as access from the north will be restricted.
