Camp Petosega is a treasured family campground on the shores of Pickerel Lake in Emmet County, Michigan. With 90 campsites and seven rental cabins, families and individuals can find their perfect spot at this wooded, peaceful campground situated on 300 forested acres. Petosega is a favorite day-use park that is always free! Miles of wooded trails and the peaceful Berry Creek meander through this rural Emmet County park property. A sandy beach makes for a perfect daytime get-away.

Reserve your campsite online now and join us for one of our super fun Halloween Weekends on Saturday, October 2, or on Saturday, October 9! Park staff will be giving an award to the Best Decorated Campsite so campers are encouraged to spruce up their sites to get in the Halloween spirit! Trick-or-treating will take place from 5-7 p.m. with vehicle traffic restricted during that time through the campground. Emmet County Parks and Recreation staff will have free hot dogs, chips, and drinks near the campground office followed by a free Haunted Trail open 7-9 p.m. All activities are weather-permitting and the general public is welcome to come out and join in the fun! (NOTE: Camp Petosega only accepts online reservations made at least seven days in advance. If the date you want to camp is less than seven days away, you will need to call the campground office at (231) 347-6536 to check availability and reserve a site.)
