  • BALLOT PROPOSALS

      • EMMET COUNTY PROPOSAL FOR A NEW EXTRA-VOTED MILLAGE FOR EMMET COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE (EMS). IF THIS MILLAGE PROPOSITION PASSES THE .2483 OF A MILL CURRENTLY BEING LEVIED FOR EMS PURPOSES WILL NO LONGER BE LEVIED.
       —– For the purpose of operating, maintaining, purchasing equipment for the Emmet county emergency medical services including but not limited to any capital expenditure in any building currently being used for such services, and to replace the current .2483 of a mill being levied for EMS purposes, shall the constitutional limitation upon the total amount of taxes which may be assessed in one (1) year upon all property within the County of Emmet, Michigan, be increased by up to .70 Mills ($0.70 per $1,000 of taxable value), for a period of five (5) years beginning with the December 1, 2019 levy? If this millage proposition passes the .2483 of a Mill currently being levied for EMS purposes will no longer be levied. If approved and levied in full, this millage will raise an estimated $2,109,235 in the first calendar year of the levy based on taxable value.

      • CARP LAKE TOWNSHIP ROAD MILLAGE RENEWAL
       —– Shall the previously voted increase in the 15 mill tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on General Ad Valorem Taxes within Carp Lake Township be renewed at 1.00 mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years 2020 through 2024, inclusive for the purpose of road contraction and road maintenance; and shall the township levy such renewal in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year of levy an estimated $37,800.00?

      • CARP LAKE TOWNSHIP FIRE MILLAGE RENEWAL
