Jakeway Sentencing

Emmet County Prosecuting Attorney James Linderman announced that on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, Defendant Robert Dean Jakeway was sentenced in the 57th Circuit Court in Emmet County on the one count of Second Degree Arson, one count of Felony Firearm, and one count of Arson-Preparation to Burn a Dwelling stemming from the guilty verdicts at the conclusion of his three day trial on January 26, 27, and 28, 2019 for the January 13, 2019 structure fire at the Camden Kade Rental Units, at 7063 U.S. 31 North in Alanson, Michigan.

Circuit Court Judge Charles W. Johnson sentenced Defendant Jakeway to 5 years to 50 years on the count of Second Degree Arson; 23 months to 10 years on the count of Arson-Preparation to Burn a Dwelling; and 2 years on the count of Felony Firearm which will be consecutive to the first two counts.
