Drug Drop-Off ‘POD’ Program
The Prescription and Over-the-Counter Drug Drop-Off (POD) program in Emmet County is successfully removing medications from the waste stream, while keeping harmful drugs out of the hands of users and abusers. While drugs can not currently be collected for redistribution or recycling, in Northern Michigan we are fortunate to have the best available legal option: drop-off boxes at area law enforcement agencies.
Drop-off boxes are available year-round during regular public hours, including at the Sheriff’s Offices downtown Petoskey and on M-119. For information on drug disposal options in other counties, visit the PillsInThePod.com.
NOTE: SYRINGES ARE NOT ACCEPTED AT ANY DROP LOCATION!
