CROOKED RIVER LOCK ATTENDANT (seasonal)
POSITION: Crooked River Lock Attendant (seasonal)
DEPARTMENT: Parks & Recreation Department
SUPERVISOR: Parks & Recreation Director
LOCATION: Crooked River Lock, Alanson
RATE OF PAY: $16.00 – $19.00 (depending on position and experience)
END-OF-SEASON BONUS: Seasonal staff, who meet the criteria for attendance and job performance, will qualify for a bonus based on seasonal hours worked
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists with the operation of the Crooked River Lock to permit marine passage on the Inland Waterway.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Inspects lock facilities to help ensure safe and property conduct of boaters.
• Operates the lock and provides instruction to boaters to safely navigate the Crooked River Lock.
• Collects fees from seasonal/daily lock passes and reconciles revenues weekly.
• Performs general grounds maintenance and janitorial work.
• Operates maintenance equipment including hand tools and mowers/trimmers/blowers.
• Performs work safely

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
