The Emmet County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 13, at 5:45 p.m. in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the County Building at 200 Division Street in downtown Petoskey. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the Michigan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for CDBG Program Income Emergency Repair Only and closing of the Community Development Block Grant Programs (CDBG) Project Grant # MSC-2015-0737-HO. The meeting is open to the public. Those attending must enter through the Lake Street doors and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check.

Brother Dan’s Handmade Holiday Craft Show
The Emmet County Fairgrounds will be hosting the annual Handmade Holiday Craft Show benefiting Brother Dan’s Food Pantry, from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 19. The Community Building will host local vendors featuring handmade items for sale just in time for the holiday season. Brother Dan’s will be collecting admission and concession sales to benefit feeding local families.
Admission: $2 or a nonperishable food item

Santa will be visiting the Emmet County Fairgrounds’ Community Building. Guests will be invited to take a photo with Santa, make crafts to take home, and enjoy delicious cups of hot cocoa as well as cookies. Entry is free.
