Emmet County Parks and Recreation is hosting a car show at the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 19, from 4-8 p.m. A variety of makes and models will fill the fairgrounds for automobile enthusiasts to appreciate. Admission to the event is free. Park staff is still accepting vendors for the event. Cost is $50 for a 10×10 space with one table and chairs provided to the first 30 vendors who sign up. Emmet County Parks and Recreation is hosting a car show at the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A variety of makes and models will fill the fairgrounds for automobile enthusiasts to appreciate at this Goodbye Summer Car Show! Admission to the event is free for the general public. Entry fee is $10 per vehicle. There is no early sign-up period. Gates open at 9 a.m. the day of the event for vehicle registration. Trophies will be awarded to the Best of Show, Best Modern Car, and Best Classic Car around 12:30 p.m. with door prizes given out during the day. Food vendors will also be on site. Veterans Day is Thursday, November 11. Ceremonies and events, as well as restaurant specials and store discounts, will be available for veterans and their families throughout the county. The Emmet County Veterans Affairs Department has partnered with North Central Michigan College and Odawa Casino to honor those who have served with a Veterans Day breakfast.
