Goodbye Summer Car Show

Emmet County Parks and Recreation is hosting a car show at the Emmet County Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A variety of makes and models will fill the fairgrounds for automobile enthusiasts to appreciate at this Goodbye Summer Car Show! Admission to the event is free for the general public. Entry fee is $10 per vehicle. There is no early sign-up period. Gates open at 9 a.m. the day of the event for vehicle registration. Trophies will be awarded to the Best of Show, Best Modern Car, and Best Classic Car around 12:30 p.m. with door prizes given out during the day. Food vendors will also be on site. Advisory Committee on Aging meeting

The Emmet County Advisory Committee on Aging will hold a meeting on Monday, September 20, at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the County Building in downtown Petoskey, 200 Division Street. The purpose of the meeting will be to determine the distribution of senior millage funds to applicants. The meeting is open to the public. Those attending in-person must enter through the Lake Street doors and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check.

The meeting is open to the public. Those attending in-person must enter through the Lake Street doors and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check.
