McGulpin Point Lighthouse will host a Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 1-4 p.m. Free self-guided tours though the historic building, including to the top of the lighthouse tower. Cookies and beverages will be offered while supplies last. This is a great chance to find a unique item for your holiday shopping in the lighthouse gift shop. Emmet County Parks & Recreation staff invites the public to stop by and visit with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 18, from 1-5 p.m. inside the Equestrian Center at the Emmet County Fairgrounds in Petoskey. Cookies and beverages will be provided and visitors can create their own holiday-themed arts and crafts too. No cost to attend.
