Join us for the second of our annual Halloween Weekends on Saturday, October 9! Park staff will be giving an award to the Best Decorated Campsite so campers are encouraged to spruce up their sites to get in the Halloween spirit! Trick-or-treating will take place from 5-7 p.m. throughout the campground. Emmet County Parks and Recreation staff will have free hot dogs, chips, and drinks near the campground office followed by a free Haunted Trail, open 7-9 p.m. Vehicle traffic will be restricted through the campground during the events. All activities are weather-permitting and the general public is welcome to come out and join in the fun! The Emmet County Board of Commissioners will meet on the second Monday of each month for a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the County Building at 200 Division Street in downtown Petoskey. The meeting is open to the public. Those attending must enter through the Lake Street doors and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check. The Emmet County Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, July 26, at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Board Room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the County Building in downtown Petoskey, 200 Division Street. Those attending in-person must enter through the Lake Street doors and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check.
