The Emmet County Board of Canvassers will meet on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m., in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the county building in downtown Petoskey (public entrance through the Lake Street doors). The purpose of the meeting is to canvass the Nov. 3 General Election and validate the official vote tally. The meeting is open to the public. All members of the public must enter through the entrance on Lake Street and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check as well as fill out a health screening questionnaire and consent to a temperature check.

    Emmet County Land Bank Authority will meet at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the county building in downtown Petoskey (200 Division Street). The meeting is open to the public. All members of the public must enter through the entrance on Lake Street and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check.     The Emmet County Board of Commissioners will use one of their scheduled alternate dates for a meeting on Monday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. using Zoom, a virtual meeting platform. All county commissioners including Bill Shorter, Toni Drier, Neil Ahrens, Jim Kargol, Izzy Lyman, Charles MacInnis, and David White will be attending via Zoom in their continued effort to prevent the spread of the cororavirus.
