The Emmet County Sanitary Board of Appeals will hear appeals concerning on-site sewage disposal on Friday, June 5, using Zoom, a virtual meeting platform. The meeting is available to the public for listening and/or viewing via phone or online using the information below. Site inspections will be conducted beginning at 10 a.m. at 3110 Leeward Dr., and immediately following at 8001 Channel Rd., with formal hearings to follow at approximately 11 a.m. using Zoom. Emmet County Land Bank Authority will meet at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room, across from the treasurer’s office, on the first floor of the county building in downtown Petoskey (200 Division Street). The meeting is open to the public. All members of the public must enter through the entrance on Lake Street and be prepared to pass through a metal detector and security check. Additional measures to enter the building are also in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Be prepared to fill out a health screening questionnaire upon entrance. Also note physical distancing must be maintained and masks will be required to be worn the entire time you are inside the county building.
