We are also offering four different seedling packets containing between 10-50 seedlings, including wetland, nut, homeowner, and wildlife packages.

We also have eating apple trees for sale. Remember when planting apple trees, that the trees need a second variety of apple or crabapple nearby in order for cross-pollination to occur. We are offering several apple varieties including Honeycrisp, Gala, and Jonagold red, as well as “Magenta” crabapple trees. Apple trees will be available for pick-up at the Fruit-Apple Tree Workshop at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. They will be arriving with Steve Fouch, former MSU agriculture educator, who will be leading a fruit-apple tree growing workshop from 1-3 p.m. at the Gabriel Farm in Petoskey. The $30 cost for the first apple tree (~4-5’ height; variety of your choice) includes attendance at the workshop, where participants will learn important information about planting and caring for their new apple trees; additional apple trees are $25/each. Attendance for the workshop only is $20/person. You do not have to attend the workshop to purchase apple trees but please reserve your workshop space and trees early as limited quantities are available.
