UPDATE 03/11/2019: The death investigation of two Emmet County residents continues. The deceased were both residents of the Bear Creek Twp. home and have been identified as Alan Daniels (61-year-old male) and Brenda Daniels (55-year-old female). At this point in the investigation, evidence leads the Sheriff’s Office to believe the Daniels were the only subjects at the residence.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Michigan State Police Crime lab and Emmet County Medical Examiner on the case.
On 3-8-19, the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of a suspicious death at a residence on Sterly Rd., Bear Creek Twp. Emmet County at approximately 1 p.m. The reporting party stated the residence contained two dead bodies. According to Sheriff Wallin investigators continue to investigate the scene and awaiting the arrival of the Michigan State Police Crime Lab from Grayling. Sheriff Wallin stated at this point there is no reason to believe any public danger exists.
