On Sunday, January 13, 2019, at approximately 3:14 p.m., the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a structure fire at the Camden Kade Rental Units, at 7063 U.S. 31 N. Alanson, MI., according to Sheriff Pete Wallin. When deputies arrived they observed one of the rental units fully engulfed in fire. Deputies made sure all the residents of the unit were safely outside but were advised there were two dogs still inside. Deputies were able to break out a window to save one of the dogs, and firefighters from the Alanson Fire Department found the other dog under a couch and brought it outside.
