Where to Drop Off Recyclables

You can drop off your recyclables at any of the twelve Recycling Drop Sites shown on the map below.All of these drop sites are collection points for your day to day recyclables, including:


Hours: Sites number 1-11 are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Drop-Off Center Info

In addition, curbside collection of paper and containers is offered by Harbor Springs, Little Traverse Township, Bear Creek Township, Petoskey, and Resort Township.

Drop Off Sites

  1. Mackinaw City:  Behind the High School and baseball diamond at the Public Works Yard.
  2. Cross Village:  Off Levering Road on Oak Dr., next to the Fire House.
  3. State Road:  At the Readmond Township Hall, just off State Road on Wormwood Road. 
  4. Pellston:  At the corner of State St. and Zipf.
  5. Robinson Road:  from Jurek’s Market at the Pleasantview Road jog.
  6. Harbor Springs Area: In the parking lot at the Harbor Springs IGA. 
  7. Alanson Area:  Off Milton Avenue in the Village Public Works Yard.
  8. Toski-Sands:  Behind Toski-Sands Plaza on M-119. 
  9. Glen's North:  In Glen’s Plaza, at the west end near the coin laundry.
  10. Petoskey South:  Behind Dunham’s in Bay Mall.
  11. Springvale Township:  Behind the Township Hall off Mitchell Road.

12.  Drop-Off Center:  The Emmet County Recycling Center is our “flagship” drop site with areas to accept all of the materials listed on the “Recycling Guide” page.

It is located at the Drop-off Center which also includes the County Waste Transfer Station and Yard Waste Composting Center. We like to say you can “drop everything!” at the Drop-off Center: Recyclables, garbage, and yard waste all in one stop!

Location:  7363 Pleasantview Road, Harbor Springs. This is:

  • On the east side of Pleasantview Road
  • Roughly one mile north of the intersection of M-119 and Pleasantview Road
  • Between Quick and Hathaway Roads

 

Hours and Holidays 
The Drop-off Center is open
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays and
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 P.m. Saturdays

It is closed Sundays and the following holidays
New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day
