Request For Proposals
The Emmet County Department of Public Works (ECDPW) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to manage hazardous waste collection events, including waste from residents and conditionally exempt small quantity generators in our area.
Sealed proposals, marked “Sealed Bid – HW Management”, will be accepted at the ECDPW, 200 Division St., Suite G76, Petoskey, MI 49770 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday March 1, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Administrator’s Conference Room.

The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or waive bid irregularities as deemed to be in the best interests of Emmet County.
INVITATION TO BID: THE ARMED SLOOP “WELCOME”
The County of Emmet is accepting sealed bids for the Armed Sloop “Welcome”, including its mast, rigging, sails, and belaying pins.
The Welcome will be SOLD AS IS.
Currently, the Welcome does not meet United States Coast Guard standards
for safe operation of a vessel.
All bids will require the bidder to provide information as to its intent and purpose in the purchase of the Welcome. Any sales contract entered into between the County of Emmet and the Successful Bidder will have provision(s) to assure that the Welcome will be used in such a way to preserve its historic significance and for the benefit of the public.
The County of Emmet has set a minimum bid requirement of $9,000.00. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for all costs associated with removal of the Welcome and property associated with it from County property.
Potential bidders who wish to inspect the Welcome and property associated with it should contact Martin Krupa, Administrator, at 231-348-1701 to arrange a date and time for doing so.

Bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The Successful Bidder will pay for and remove the Welcome and property associated with it within thirty (30) days of acceptance of bid by the Emmet County Board of Commissioners.
Emmet County reserves the right to waive any irregularities or technicalities, and to reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
